UXB was in a strange position with their corporate branding. They had a more letterhead and business card designs than they knew what to do with. UXB wanted a consistent, professional look for all their marketing and communications materials.
Sequential is continuing an ongoing project with UXB to modernize their public image. When we are finished, this company will have a corporate identity it can be proud of.
It seems to be implied that companies need to have a graphic logo. In fact, while a graphical logo works for some companies or situations, it is difficult to compete with the simplicity and professionalism of a well designed wordmark.
This logo is one such wordmark. The bridging between the two terms in the word MedicaLink tie them together and re-emphasize the goals of the company (bridging two groups of people.) The colour scheme is also used throughout the company's other communication materials.
Designing a logo for a cleaning company is an easy task, right? Not when the client does not want to rely on the traditional cleaning company logo "cliches," like brooms, mops, and vacuums. As well, a mascot style logo was also not wanted.
The logo that was designed in the end is a classic looking wordmark with a small graphical element. While it's not the most graphically complex design, it does lend a professional, conservative look. And, the client was extremely pleased with the final look, which is always a plus.
Feeling their current logo (a clipart image) wasn't cutting it any longer, the Marketing Board commissioned Sequential Communications to create a new logo for the complex's marketing efforts. After several revisions, a final product was designed. The final logo give a professional appearance and is used on the website, documentation, and other marketing materials.
When approached by Penbrooke Village, Sequential Communications designed an entire branding scheme specifically for their project. "Blue Denim," as it was called, reflects the blue-collar, hard-working individuals who the complex were trying to reach with their efforts. Graphics and layouts were built in this style, including a leather patch branded with the logo, blue denim borders, and yellow stitching. The campaign could be summed up with the slogan, "A Home as Comfortable as your Favorite Pair of Jeans."
As a component of their marketing plan, the Marketing Board decided they would like to produce "For Sale" signs and display them in the windows of the units within the complex. In addition, the board stipulated they be reusable and comply with the "Blue Denim" branding scheme. These signs were designed to be printed on CoroPlast (corrugated plastic board) in a full colour process.
This eye-catching design is being used for WIRE's books and CD materials. Sequential worked with the client over a series of revisions to make the design fit the client's vision.
As most people know, business cards are dime-a-dozen. Everyone seems to have done (and overdone) the major design cliche's. Our goal when working with the client was to make a card that would stand out over the other cards someone may be holding. The result was an elegant card in a two-colour process. Sequential Communications even managed the printing process.
Business cards are a difficult thing to make creative. The dimensions are quite strictly defined, and there is not a lot of room to make things interesting. Even more confining, business cards are essentially throw-aways, so they must be cost effective. With these contstraints in mind, we tried to achieve our task. The result was a card printed on an unconventional material: translucent paper. The design seems to float above whatever is behind the card, and the metallic blue ink on the logo pops out at the reader. Click the image to the left to see how it looks. Want to see one in person? This project was a challenge from a design standpoint, but also from a project management standpoint. Sequential Communications had to work hard to get articles and information in from a wide range of employees and volunteer ministry heads. The end result was a handbook printed in a magenta/pink duotone. It looks friendly and inviting, and includes crucial information for new parish members.

Staff can now easily add create informative property listings through an online form. Photos can be uploaded and will automatically be resized to the proper dimensions. Managing properties is tough work; Sequential made managing the website easy.
Sequential Communications gave this company's web presence a brand new look - modern and elegant in order to attract clients to them in a crowded market. In addition, Sequential provided a digital video solution to embed their demo reel directly into the website - no need to download special software!
This site needed a look that was modern and professional. But, a key element to the design of this site was grounding it in usability - all the functions of this design had to be user-friendly above all else.
Page features that have made the site so successful, like the dynamic photo gallery and tab-based navigation have been carried over into the new design. And, in the tradition of property management, we've given the site a fresh coat of paint. The new site graphics are more colourful and vibrant, and the branding of the site is more prominent and identifiable.
The PTCS website has information on this company's services, their customer testimonials, contact information, as well as an online quote form. Usability was a key factor in this design; the site is designed to be intuitive and easy to use. As well, the graphic design of the site reflects a clean and professional image. Overall, we could say this website redesign resulted in a clean sweep, but it wouldn't be fair to subject you to that...
The key to delivering on these three tasks was to install and configure a CMS for this website. After analysing needs, it was determined that the Postnuke CMS would be the best choice. A CMS (or Content Management System) allows site administrators to post and edit content through online forms, making site administration much easier. As well, the use of a CMS allowed the introduction of a members-only area, and allowed us to introduce features that would have been impossible to re-create in a standard website.
This website was a key part of a large marketing plan. Designed in the "Blue Denim" branding scheme created by Sequential Communications, it includes an interactive photo gallery, floorplans, and lots of information. All graphics, layout, design and copywriting were completed by Sequential Communications.
This project has the distinction of being the longest running project for Sequential Communications. In fact, it predates Sequential by about 4 or 5 years! Over the years, we have given Holy Name Parish a fresh and exciting look to their web presence. We have introduced successful features, like online bookings calendars, electronic newsletters, and ministry contact forms.
